It doesn’t matter who you are, rich or poor, nobody wants to be the victim of a scam. Unfortunately, that was exactly what happened to a netizen named Cid Marion Estrada, who shared in a furious Facebook rant about his unpleasant experience with a “bogus agency.”
Based on his narration, it all stared at a bus station in Cubao, Quezon City, where an unidentified man approached Cid. According to him, the stranger works for some sort of agency. After giving him a flier, the stranger started asking questions.
“Oh sir! Anong height mo? Ilang taon ka? Nag-aaral ka pa? Sabay bigay ng job offering na papel”
Soon after the inquiry, the victim responded to the stranger, eventually lowering his guard and getting persuaded.
Cid then went inside the office walked right into an ad-hoc job interview. During the “intellectual conversation,” the interviewer suddenly began asking for money.
The victim refused to give any money to the interviewer. Consequently, the situation escalated when the annoying interviewer kept forcing him to pay.
“‘Ay ma’am sorry may ganito pala. Umayaw ako, Tumayo ako. Sabay, sabi sa’kin ‘Sir umupo ka ‘wag ka bastos. Nagsasalita ako, Andyan supervisor naming.’ Tinakot ba naman ako, Hindi na ko nanggulo kaya sabi ko nalang ‘sorry pero wala akong pera sakto lang dala kong pamasahe.’”
Despite his protests, the bogus agency interviewer still demanded money. Eventually, Cid gave in and handed over PHP 10. In the end, he realized that he had just gotten scammed.
